“Libraries Unlimited (LU) runs Devon’s public library service on behalf of Devon County Council (DCC) – 50 libraries across the county and 4 mobile libraries. Your local library has something for everyone: books and information, music, films, computers with access to the Internet and more. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Colyton Library is small but well used by the Community. There is a good selection of books both for adults and children as well as large print books for those with sight problems, spoken word tapes and CDs. Circulation of the stock means there are always new and different titles available.  A variety of community groups regularly use the building.

* Free Wi-Fi connection is available and at all times outside by using the bench in the covered area

* The small reference section is supplemented by a collection of materials and books about the local area and history.
 
* Specific titles of books, CDs and DVDs can be ordered. The aim of this small community library is to provide a service that reflects the needs and preferences of the borrowers.

* Two public access computers are available with internet and word processing packages – this is free for two hours.  A scanner and printing are available.
 
* Visitors can read a mixture of local and national newspapers

 

*The library notice boards provide information about local events. Local organisations are encouraged to display information about their activities.

* Children are particularly welcome with activities and events regularly held in the Library. See new reading Challenge - Book Quest

*Premises are for hire for small groups.  Initial enquiries should be directed to the Librarian about availability
